The Literarian short story contest opens May 1 and closes on Monday, July 1, 2013 at midnight. Please enter only original, previously unpublished short stories up to 5000 words in length. (Simultaneous submissions are okay, but please notify us immediately if the story becomes unavailable.) The winner will be published in the September issue of The Literarian—online and in print—and will receive $1000. Two finalists will each receive $100 and possible publication.

The Center for Fiction is having a short story contest for their magazine, The Literarian. Deadline is tonight at midnight. Reading fee is 15.00.
